Vigil For Orlando at The Stonewall Inn
At least a thousand people turned out for our June 12 vigil outside the Stonewall Inn. We heard from our own Ken Kidd, Brandon Cordeiro, Jennifer Louise Lopez, and Ann Northrop among a number of speakers.
The crowd was angry at times, sorrowful at others, but mostly this was the community responding to Orlando in the way that we have responded to too many other tragedies – with solidarity and by coming together as one to say “We will not be silenced.”
Our hearts go out to the friends, family, and loved ones of the 50 LGBT brothers and sisters who were killed and to the more than 50 who were wounded.
